About the Artist

Sylvester Urquhart was a rising star among mid-Atlantic artists when he lost his battle with cancer in 2004. His paintings reflect his love for color, his Black American experience, and his buddhist practice. This website represents the first opportunity to buy his art since his passing.

This store is run by Sylvester's son (Liam) and widow (Tracy). Hi!

As a family business, things move relatively slow here. We ship out orders about once a week, so it might take a couple of weeks before delivery.

If you don't have a credit card and want to make an order by check, contact us. If you have any questions or concerns about your order (within 30 days of delivery), contact us and we'll do our best to resolve it.

About Signed Prints

You might be wondering why we charge so much more for signed prints than for standard prints. The number of prints is fixed: no more will be created after these are sold. Because there is a fixed quantity, they can appreciate over time. We are charging more for signed prints because these that we are selling are the last ones.
